Welcome to
O.G. Rev's Corner
The riots that followed the murder of Baltimore's Freddy Gray peeled back a layer of neglect and frustraion from one of America's major cities.  If we were to be truthful, we'd have to say that foreclosed houses, the unchecked spread of killer drugs like crack cocaine and crystal meth, gross unemployment, poor health care, and crumbling schools are destroying a generation.  If we were to be really truthful, we'd have to say that the church has not always risen to the challenge of being the agent of social justice and truth in the hip-hop generation.  Many of our churches are trapped in the quicksand of memory and past glory.  What can the faith community do in the age of gun fire and gentrification?  That's what I'd like to discuss. Let's talk about the issues that confront our hoods today.  Let's propose some solutions.  All comments welcome.
